Q1. How can I learn more about the SIMS MBA program?

In addition to reviewing our FAQ site, we invite you to Visit our campus. We welcome and encourage prospective candidates to visit SIMS. Visitors can observe classes, attend an information session conducted by an admissions officer and meet our current students who will be glad to help you with any information that you need to know about SIMS.

Q2. What is the cost of the full-time MBA program? Is financial aid available?

SIMS has a very affordable fee structure. The fee structure depends on whether you are a student from PGCET or Management Quota. THERE IS NO CAPITATION FEES. The fee is also payable in four installments. Once you fill in the online application form and send it to us, the fee structure will be indicated to you. The Institute helps in assisting you to avail bank loan facilities. The Institute shall assist with all documents that are required to complete the loan processing.

Q3. What is the timeline for applying?

Prospective candidates are welcome to visit SIMS Campus and meet the Admission team at any point of time in the year for admissions to the following academic year.

Q4. How will my application be evaluated?

The Admission Team reviews each application received in depth. When selecting students we put an emphasis on leadership potential, strong academic ability, and personal qualities and characteristics.

Q5. What entrance tests should I take?

You can write the following examinations

  • Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET)
  • Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (K-MAT)
  • Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
  • Common Admission Test (CAT)
  • Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

In any case, you can block a seat before the entrance examination.

Q6. What documents are required to submit an application to SIMS?

You are required to bring along with you the following documents while you submit your application.

  • One set of photocopy of marks cards - X, XII / PUC, Degree marks cards
  • 5 photographs (passport size)
  • Address proof of the Parent.

Q7. Can I get in touch with the Admissions Team to discuss the MBA Programme at SIMS?

Yes. The Admissions team will counsel students individually with any queries. We encourage you to take advantage of our on-campus information sessions in order to speak to our Admissions Team and have your questions answered.

Q8. What do students do beyond the classroom activities at SIMS?

Students at SIMS are very active in a wide range of extracurricular activities. The student clubs fosters a sense of competition and allow students to develop their leadership skills. These activities focus on a variety of student interests including professional development, sports, arts, and building competence.

In addition, students work closely with their peer group and faculty to complete assignments, dissertation projects, presentations and Inter-collegiate management competitions throughout the year. They are equally involved in Community Relations to connect themselves with the downtrodden in the society.

Q9. If admitted for the MBA programme, am I expected to pay a tuition deposit?-

Yes. Admitted students pay a tuition deposit of Rs.25,000 to hold their place in the class. This amount will be adjusted towards the total fee payable to the Institute.

Q10. Are the students eligible for any scholarships?

Yes, Merit based and Caste/Category based scholarships are available for the students. The Merit based scholarships are provided by corporates whereas the Caste/Category based scholarships are provided by Department of Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka.
