Seshadripuram Institute of Management Studies consists of four study centres: Basava Study Centre, Swami Vivekananda Study Centre, Mahatma Gandhi Study Centre, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Study Centre. The Centres’ endeavour to inculcate the values of ideal personalities. It regularly conducts guest lectures, value-added programmes, workshops, symposiums, competitions, and special events on the various thoughts and principles of Basavanna, Swami Viveknanda, Mahatma Gandhi, and Dr.B.R Ambedkar.

Gandhi Study Center

The Gandhi study centre's mission is to spread Gandhian messages among students, to teach the values of truth and sacrifice.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (2 October 1869 - 30 January 1948), popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi. People called him Bapu. One who employed non-violent resistance lead a successful India’s Independence Movement, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist.

Sathya- Truth, Ahimsa- Non-Violence, Shanthi - Peace are the core values of Gandhi. His life is only message.

Objectives

Vivekananda Adhyayana Kendra

The Vivekananda Study Centre was established to impact the ideas and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda, to develop patriotism among the students.

Vivekananda, original name Narendranath Datta (born January 12, 1863, Calcutta [now Kolkata]), Hindu spiritual leader and reformer.

He got inspiration from Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa about spirituality and becoming a monk in his early ages. Because of Vivekananda’s brave spiritual thoughts and student-oriented beliefs, he was called Veera Sanyasi. He made an attempt to combine Indian spirituality with Western materialism.

Ambedkar Study Center

The Mission of the Ambedkar Study Center is to spread Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's ideas and ideals and to develop social responsibility among the students. Create awareness about fundamental duties and rights through the means of the Constitution.

Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (14 April 1891 - 6 December 1956) who headed the committee drafting the constitution of India. Great scholar, economist and social reformers.

Objectives

  • To promote equality among students.
  • To give brief introduction about Law and Justice ( As an Indian One should Know).

Basava Adhyayana Kendra

The Basava Study Centre was established is to teach students about the thoughts of Basavanna and influence them to inculcate them in their daily lives.

Basava popularly known as Basavanna and Basaveshweswara. One of the greatest social reformer of 12th century. He started Bhakthi movement - to adopt the method of devotion to achieve salvation. He is activated during kalyana Chaluka’s dynasty, King Bijjala II in Karnataka. To create awareness among the people in the society, he wrote small poems called VACHANAS, in Kannada, ambitious to reach each and every person in the society and help him understand the depth of devotion. He introduced public institutions such as “Anubhava Mantapa”(Hall of spiritual experience). It served as a knowledge exchange platform during the Bhakti Movement. Basvanna also known as Bhakthi Bandari Basava (The treasurer of devotion).

Objectives

  • To inculcate Basavanna's ideas and teachings of Basavanna.
  • To develop spiritual quotient among the students.
